Smartphone Screen Goes Black Repair
Today, many of us rely on our smartphone to communicate, work, and play. Therefore, this can be very worrying when they start acting strangely - especially if you can't get your phone to turn on at all.
One of the most worrying problems to interfere with smartphone users is a black screen, often referred to as "black screen death." However, regardless of a hard name, this problem can be overcome in several ways. So, if your cellphone screen suddenly turns off for no reason, don't panic, just follow these tips.
1. Try hard reset
To fix the black screen on the iPhone or Android, the first step (and the easiest) is to make a hard re -setting. This basically requires a cellphone software reboot. Hard reset can be done right on your cellphone, even though the process is different depending on the type of device you have.
If you wonder how to do hard reset on an iPhone or Android, follow these steps:
Android
Press the home button and power simultaneously for 10 seconds.
As soon as you release, press the power button to see if it is turned on again.
iPhone (version 8 and newer)
Press and remove the volume up button.
Press and remove the Volume Down button.
Press and hold the side button (also known as the sleep/wake button) until the Apple logo appears.
iPhone (version 7)
Press and hold the side button and the volume button down together until the Apple logo appears.
iPhone (version 6s and previous)
Press and hold the side button and the home button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.
2. Check the LCD cable
If you are still staring at the blank screen, there is a possibility that the cable that connects the logic board to the LCD screen has been cut off. This can happen if you accidentally drop your cellphone several times. To regain your screen functionality, the cable needs to be plugged back.
If you want to repair a damaged iPhone or Android this way, the best is to find help from a professional. Although you might find DIY instructions online, you can take the risk of causing damage that cannot be repaired on your device if you don't know what you are doing. So, if you suspect your mobile LCD cable is cut off, look for a place in Las Vegas that fixes the cellphone.
3. Do a factory reset
When your mobile screen becomes random black, it might be an indication that there is something wrong with your operating system. In this case, factory reset is often useful. During the factory reset, data and settings of your device are completely deleted, return the phone to the original state (eg., Status like when you first bought it).
Not sure how to reset the factory on an iPhone or Android? This process is more involved than a hard reset but can still be done easily.
